Do you keep a copy of the Private Keys for wallets that you create?
No, they are generated in a secure environment from an offline machine and no copies are saved. That still means you need to trust us and, if you buy from a third party you also have to trust them. For these reasons, most people buy our art wallets for their collectible nature alone – with no intention of storing bitcoins on them.
Alternatively, you can request a BIP38 encrypted wallet when ordering. It will require that you use a utility like bitaddress.org to generate an encrypted private key that you can provide to us with your order. This insures that we never have access to your funds. Let us know if you would like assistance in setting this up.
Can you create a custom art wallet for me?
Absolutely! Just contact us with your idea and we will reply with a quote.
Do you really buy back your art wallets?
Yes. Due to their collectible nature, we value the opportunity to buy them back should you ever decide to sell. You can also sell or trade them to other collectors in our Member Forum. Here is our full buy-back policy:
Buy-Back/ Trade-in Guarantee:
Enjoy your art and, should you ever decide to sell, we will buy it back for the same dollar price that it was originally sold for (excluding shipping) payable in dollars (or the dollar-equivalent of bitcoins at the time of buy-back). You may also trade it in towards any other piece and receive full purchase price dollar value in credit. You must be listed as the owner of record in our Owner Registry so take care to follow the steps to get registered if you buy the art from a private party.
